We are delighted to announce our sponsorship deal with the Cornish Pirates.

We are Celebrating 150th anniversary of our baking heritage, Warrens, are looking forward to working with the Pirates, as together we can strive for further success and passionately promote the best of what Cornwall has to offer.

Warrens branding will now be displayed on the Cornish Pirates shirts and pasties will be provided for sale on match days, with a developing and improved service for supporters.

Jonathan Warren, the company's proprietor, is a member of a family that has had close associations with the Pirates over the years. His late father Brian, who not so surprisingly had the nickname of 'Oggy', played in the front-row for Penzance & Newlyn RFC in the 1960s, whilst Jonathan, who is also the Chairman of the successful St. Just Cricket Club, is a former Pirates Colt.

Dicky Evans, Chairman of the Cornish Pirates directors, commented:

"We are delighted to confirm this sponsorship deal with Warrens, who are recognised by many as the oldest Cornish pasty bakers in the world. The Warren family and the Pirates have had a close association in the past and the company has a number of excellent ideas to implement for the benefit of our supporters."

Terrace tickets for Pirates home matches will be sold this season from selected Warrens shops in Cornwall. www.warrensbakery.co.uk
